The Kitchen
Our kitchen staff prepares old standards like Shepard’s Pie & Pasta with Meatballs. Some of our favorites are the Tamale Pie and the Mandolin’s Meatloaf. For lighter fair, we offer fun salads and homemade soups. Baked goods are created by our own pastry chef daily, including cakes, coffee cakes, scones, cookies and much more!

The Music
The Puget Sound has some incredibly talented artists and the Mandolin Café is proud to host great live music almost every night of the week. We like to consider ourselves a venue where “unknowns” can become “known”. For the most part, the musicians volunteer their time. Help us help them by coming in and enjoying great Blues, Jazz, Folk, Celtic (and other genres) and dropping them a tip! Occasionally there will be a cover a charge so click the calendar tab above to see specific details for our shows.

The Private Room

The Coffee and Tea

Liquid Soul Coffee Roasters /Café is family owned and now operating in the state of Washington. The family consists of Martin & Barbara Salinas and their daughter Lindsey. They started 12 years ago in San Diego and moved up to the Great Northwest to be close to the serious coffee connoisseur. They have developed their own popular blends and single origin coffees using certified organics and fair trade growers.
The family has a genuine passion for the very best coffee ! They have mastered their roasts to bring out the character from carefully chosen specialty coffee beans. They work closely with their brokers from all over the world to bring to your table the finest gourmet coffees. The roasts are consistent and the coffee cupped after every roast to insure our highest standards.
For all those who love tea, you'll definitely appreciate our diverse loose leaf selection. We feature one of the best tea selections in Tacoma. The health benefits of tea are outstanding; the antioxidants and antibacterial properties have been found to enhance immune function in many ways. Tea is what the Tibetans call "the water of long life". Some of our most popular teas are Coconut Pouchong, Market Spice and Creamsicle, and Jasmine Pearls.
